Oil requirements vary between gearbox models, so always consult your gearbox manufacturer’s operation manual before adding or changing oil. If you don’t have access to the manual, our team can advise you. Simply call 0330 383 033 or email info@mitgroup.co.uk.
To help us identify the correct oil specification, please have the details from your gearbox nameplate ready – including the model, serial number, and BOM number.
All gearboxes will have a nameplate fitted to the outer housing; this is usually located on the top, but can be in other places depending on the manufacturer and location of the transmission within the engine. The nameplate will detail your gearbox’s model, serial and BOM number. If you cannot read your nameplate, we can help identify the details from a clear photograph of the plate.
Unfortunately, there is no one-size-fits-all solution, which is why we always suggest speaking to one of our experienced team members to ensure that you select the right gearbox for your needs.
