The Twin Disc Technodrive AM480 is available with a maximum input power of 700 kW (939 hp) at 1800 rpm, with a 1:1 ratio. Each unit features cast iron housings, case-hardened and ground spur gears, case-hardened shafts, ball bearings, and Viton seals on the input shaft. Options include multiple SAE housings and couplings, with all outputs providing identical gear ratios and output rotation opposite to the input. Designed for durability, the AM480 is rated on the basis of theoretically unlimited gear life and a minimum L10 bearing life of 10,000 hours.
